OUR STAFF

OUR STAFF

Our staff are experienced teachers, who observe children interacting with peers and interacting with the materials around them. Our teachers use this knowledge to develop a well rounded curriculum for each child exclusively. Our teachers foster a loving and caring environment where children enjoy learning and creating amazing solutions.

Ashley

Ashley has her A.S. and is working on getting her B.S. in Behavioral Development with an emphasis in Child Development. She has worked with children for nearly 15 years at schools with different philosophies, including a traditional preschool and a play based learning center that focused on social/emotional learning. Patience and kindness are the foundations of her character, and this has helped her throughout life as a camp counselor, coach, nanny, aftercare leader, toddler teacher, STEM instructor, and mother.

Aside from working with children, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and is a lover of all animals, especially reptiles. She is passionate  about creative writing and is an avid reader believing that “reading is fundamental”.

Ashley is delighted to be a member of the Imagine community, and is looking forward to learning more about the Reggio-approach and being part of Imagine's growth.

shannon

Shannon

Shannon is a recent graduate from UC Irvine and holds a B.A. in Drama along with a minor in Educational Studies with an emphasis on Child Development. Shannon comes to us with teaching experience in the Waldorf philosophy of education and brings to the table many of the crossover similarities the Waldorf and Reggio Emilia philosophies share.

Shannon is kind, patient, imaginative, and endlessly inspired by children’s curiosity, individuality, and their eagerness to explore, navigate, and construct their world. Endlessly passionate about working with children, Shannon has made deliberate life and career choices in order to pursue her dream of working in the realm of early education.

Her background in theatre along with her love of the arts and the world around her lends her a creative eye and joyful outlook on life – she believes there is truly nothing greater than the joy a child feels the moment they learn, discover, or create something new. Shannon plays the clarinet and has twelve years of music experience under her belt; she also converses in Spanish and some American Sign Language. She received an Emphasis in Poetry from UC Irvine for her time spent studying and writing poetry and has practiced yoga, dance, and movement for four years.

Shannon is honored, humbled, and excited to be at Imagine Preschool!
